Because I’ve been into BDSM for a few years, I’ve often used gags. There are quite a few different kinds of gags and I enjoy using most of them. I was sent this exciting gag, the “Equine Silicone Bit Gag with Strap and Nipple Clamps”. (Bit of a complicated name for a gag.)
Say What? A Gag?
You can wear a gag during BDSM play. Playing during BDSM are often based on the balance of power in which one party has more power and the other submits. With a gag in your mouth, you are unable to speak, unable to give directions and unable to say what you want. This can be very exciting. It’s wise to discuss beforehand how to let the other party know that you want more. Maybe with a gesture or a certain sound that you can make, or hold something in your hands which you can drop and will make a noise.
There are many different kinds of gags. This gag is a bit gag, kind of like a little rod. With this kind of gag, your mouth is only opened up a little, so it’s pretty comfortable. A ball gag, like the name indicates, is a gag with a little ball. This ball is halfway put into your mouth which opens up your mouth quite a bit. Obviously this also depends on the size of the ball. However, a gag such as this one prevents cramping in your jaws.
Then there are also ring gags which open up your mouth but also provide access to your mouth, and mouth spreaders, that have the same effect but can be set to how far you want your mouth to be opened up. Some gags allow you to speak a little and others prevent speaking at all. You should note that most gags do make you drool.
A lot of gag fun! Earlier I tested the Tantus Beginners gag but I found that gag a little tricky because it was placed pretty deep into my mouth. This gag felt a lot more comfortable, despite the nipple clamps, however I did think that this was an exciting little extra.
The Packaging
The bit gag is in a pretty simple but rugged looking kind of packaging. The largest part of the box is transparent so you can see the gag already. You immediately know what you’re getting. On the other side there is an image of a woman using the gag, just in case it’s not clear enough what kind of BDSM toy you are buying. Or possibly to arouse people so that they will buy this gag, that’s also possible.
According to the packaging, the straps are made of PU leather, but I think that they are made from silicone the same as the gag itself. It also states that the clamps are adjustable from 16 to 24 inch (40 to 60 cm) but I can only assume that they mean the strap of the gag as those measurements seem to fit.
The gag is made of silicone. I like it, because this kind of material does not absorb anything and it’s safe and hygienic and easy to clean. However, when I stained the gag with lipstick, normal lipstick, not the long-lasting kind, it was pretty difficult to clean it off.
Drool is Cool
I planned a nice BDSM afternoon with my BDSM partner. He was also excited to use this gag, so before I knew it, I had the gag in my mouth. I also had a Smint in my mouth (I have a big Smint addiction, I have to admit) and I found that the combination of a Smint and a gag will make you drool even more. I don’t mind that at all though. So far so good. This gag was comfortable to wear in my mouth and the material felt good and was smell and taste free.
The Nipple Clamps.
Now we got to the part I was a little more nervous about: the nipple clamps. I had already noticed that these clamps came with little screws. You can adjust the screws which make the clamp unable to shut completely and clamps on with less force. I liked it, but my BDSM partner did not think it was necessary. It’s not easy to start a discussion when you already have a gag in your mouth, so I just let things happen.
I was happy to find out that the clamps were not very tight. I’ve got quite sensitive nipples, so I did find it quite painful, but not too much. I can last for quite a while with this clamp which is nice. The screws are, in my opinion, not really necessary.
At the tips of the clamps you’ll find PVC covers. These make the clamps a little less harsh. The covers are fitted on quite loosely; you can easily take them off. Easy when it comes to cleaning but pay attention so you don’t lose them!
Short Chains and Saggy Boobs
What really surprise me is how short the chains where. I could not keep my head up straight. Well I could, but it would really strain the chains, which was really painful for my nipples. When I bowed my head, it was fine. But it also meant drooling more.
“OMG, do I have saggy boobs?” I was thinking. I could not remember the woman on the image having to bend like that because of the chains. I’m not particularly skinny and my breasts are quite large, but they do not sag as far as I know. My nipples still point forward. But the chains did not seem to fit.
When we finished playing, I checked the packaging again and it really made me feel insecure. When looking at the image of the woman, the chains seemed pretty long. What’s wrong with me? With my breasts? I’m usually quite pleased with my breasts, but I did not feel happy about them at that moment.
It took a while to realize that there is nothing wrong with my breasts. And even if they did hang down, there’s nothing wrong with that. However, you wouldn’t be able to use a gag like this if you do have saggy boobs. Or if your nipples are pointing downwards. You should be able to use this gag with all kinds of breasts. I would be a lot easier if the chains were adjustable in some way.
For BDSM play, it can be fun when you cannot keep your head up straight. It has its charm. Especially if you’re forced to keep your head straight anyway which brings a lot of tension to your nipples. Even though this worked pretty well, I would have liked it more if we had the option to choose instead of this being the only possibility. The packaging didn’t really indicate that this would be an issue.
Conclusion
This bit gag with nipple clamps was very different to what I initially imagined because of the short chains, but I still think it’s a super fun toy. Maybe not completely appropriate for a beginner or fledgling BDSM person, but for anyone wanting to step it up a notch, this gag is very suitable. The material is a big advantage. Not all gags are made out of a safe and hygienic material.
The combination of nipple clamps and gag is really fun as well. With this one combination toy, you can really enjoy an awesome BDSM experience, which is always a good thing!
