Lubricant is the discovery of the year for me. Sure, it’s pretty weird that I only find out at this point of my life how nice lubricant actually is. I just did not think it was necessary when I was younger. I always assumed that lube was only needed if you could not get wet (enough) yourself and needed it to prevent sex from becoming inconvenient or even painful.
The first times when I used lube, I started having issues with all kinds of irritation and inconveniences. So, very quickly, I decided that lube was just not for me. I didn’t need it anyway. And a little bit of saliva would work as well. So, I thought. (Saliva is also not very good for your vagina, but that’s a whole other story.)
Silicon based lubricant
Until I found out that there is a big difference when it comes to specific lubes. First there is the base. These days, you mainly find water and silicon based lubes. Silicon based lubes will make it slide super easy and keeps doing this as well. However, afterwards, you really need to rinse it under the shower or a wet washing cloth. It can easily stain your linen or couch or wherever you decide to do it. (And when it spills on the floor, it will still make you slip a month later, trust me!) Lube based on silicone cannot be used in combination with sex toys made from silicone.
Water based lubricant
Water based lube also slides nicely, but a little less than lubes based on silicone. At a certain time, it’s gone and you need to apply more. It does not stain in general.
I’m with team water based. I actually like the fact that it slides a little less and the fact that it is simply gone after a while. However, especially with lubes based on water, you will find out that not all ingredients are good for your vagina. Glycerin and parabens can cause irritation with a lot of people. That happens to me all the time. Since I found that, when you look a little better, there are also lubricants without these two ingredients, nothing is causing irritations anymore and my pussy and I are as happy as we can be. Masturbating or being fingered with lubricant is so much nicer. If you haven’t done it (yup, I’ve also found out very late), seriously, go try it NOW!
Sliquid in the Netherlands
In my quest of finding a good lubricant, I soon found Sliquid. Sliquid makes loads of different lubricants, but all without glycerin and parabens. And they are also 100% vegan friendly. That really makes me happy! Until recently, Sliquid was not easy to get in the Netherlands. So, I got really happy when Geraldine from Eropartner, a retailer, told me that they’ve added Sliquid to their inventory and that they would send me four different ones so I could write a review about them.
The four different kinds of Sliquid that I received:
Sliquid Silk, a hybrid lubricant, so, a water and silicone based lubricant.
Sliquid Sassy, a water based lube which is a little thicker than the standard Sliquid H20.
Sliquid Sizzle, a water based lube with a nice little extra, it gives you a refreshing and warming sensation.
Sliquid Organics, this lubricant is based on aloe and contains seaweed and other ingredients.
Sliquid Naturals Silk
So, Sliquid Silk is based on water and silicone. Because it’s a mix, you can (probably) use this lubricant in combination with silicone sex toys. For me, this has been going well every time so far.
The lube is a little white and pretty thick. It doesn’t just slide of your finger, which is something I like. Because most of the time, I put it from the bottle on my fingers and after that, I apply it to my pussy and/or sex toy. Very annoying when it just slides off immediately.
Sliquid Silk is really nice and a little creamy. It feels really nice and soft and slides really well and keeps on sliding for a long time. I always like a hybrid lubricant because it’s kind of the best of both worlds. It slides really well, but disappears eventually, or else it’s very easy to clean with a paper towel.
I really like to masturbate with Sliquid Silk. It slides so much better, with my fingers or a toy and feels extra soft, especially inside my pussy. Every touch feels a lot nicer and a lot more intense.
Sliquid Naturals Sizzle
I used to use Durex Tingle, I thought it felt really good, that warm and cool sensation, but afterwards I always suffered from irritations, so pretty soon, that bottle ended up in the trash bin. So when I found out that this was being caused by glycerin and parabens, I tried finding a similar lubricant. However, I could not find it anywhere and gave up hope. Until I got this Sliquid Sizzle.
When you apply Sliquid Sizzle to your pussy, it feels nice and cooling. I really love that, which is why I especially like glass or metal dildos. It gives you a whole different kind of sensation. Some extra fun is that it gives you a warm sensation during friction. Really, this feels so good!
Sliquid Sizzle is not as intense as Durex Tingle (Which was very intense, sometimes a little too much) but I really love this lubricant. Of all the Sliquids I’ve tested, this way by far my favorite. It’s a little less thick than Sliquid Silk, drips off your finger a little easier, but you really have enough time to apply it wherever you want, without spilling it all over the place.
But really, I totally like this stuff! The combination of the warm and cool sensation adds so much extra for me. Especially in combination with a dildo. When I move it, the lubricant in my vagina gets nice and warm, while the lube on my clitoris gives it a cooling sensation. Really, I’m a fan of Sliquid Sizzle!
Sliquid Naturals Sassy
This is actually a pretty basic, water based lubricant, but just a little thicker. Not too thick, because that’s not very nice either. This lube rolls over your finger, but does not slide off your finger that easily. Very ideal!
Sliquid Sassy feels nice and soft when you use it. It slides very nice, not as long as Sliquid Silk obviously, but long nonetheless. I was definitely not disappointed. This is really a nice lubricant and is also good to your pussy.
Because this lube it a little thicker, it is extra suitable for anal use. Because of the thicker structure, it will offer you a bit more protection and it keeps in place better as well, which results a lesser chance of injuries internally.
Just like other water based lubricants from Sliquid, you are able to use the Sassy with all toys and especially for silicone butt plugs or other anal toys, the Sassy is extra suitable.
Sliquid Organics Oceanics
This lubricant is different than the other three. The other three are from the Naturals series and this one from the Organics series. You can also notice that because it’s in a dark bottle, it’s from a different series. And like the name will tell you, it’s also organic. And oceanic, so it has ingredients from the sea.
The Sliquid Oceanics is a little more liquid, but not too liquid. It will stay on your fingers for a while when you’re careful. It practically smells the same as the other three. I was expecting a sushi smell, but that was not the case. The smell is not really good, but also not very strong, so it did not bother me.
This lube was not water or silicone based, but aloe vera based. Aloe vera is known for it’s hydrating characteristics. They’ve also added nori and wakame. Wakame has a tissue repairing characteristic and contains certain vitamins. Nori also contains certain vitamins and minerals. In other words, this stuff is extra good for your pussy!
When it comes to using it, this lubricant was my least favorite of all four, but it was also an excellent lube and the ingredients are very good. I thought that this one felt a little less nice. I think that this lube is very suitable for your vagina when it needs a little extra loving.
Sliquid has many more kinds of lubricants and they are all good for your vagina. You can order Sliquid here at She-vibe.com
So really, be good for your pussy and buy a good lubricant.
