I love kinky games, so I use cuffs regularly during sexy times. So when I was sent these Frisky cuffs with suction cups, I got pretty excited.
Handcuffs or wrist cuffs?
I actually think that cuffs are fun and especially exciting to use. Pretty fast I discovered that wrist cuffs are a lot more comfortable than handcuffs. Handcuffs are those metal things which are also used by the police. I get excited by those as well, but they are not as comfortable. However, this can be fun by itself of course.
Wrist cuffs are bands that go around your wrists which can be tightened with a buckle or velcro. You will also find a D-ring attached so you can tie them together with a hook or you can attach them to the bed with a piece of rope or secure it to any place you like. Super exciting right? That feeling of not being able to use your hands at all and that you are completely at the mercy of your partner.
Safe Word
When you plan to do this, it may be a good idea to discuss things that can happen and cannot happen. Talk about your limits and pick a safe word so it’s always very clear when you really want to stop, because sometimes it’s really exciting to yell “no, don’t do it!” however the other person keeps on going. At this time it might be useful when your partner knows when you actually mean “omg, yes go on!” and when you really want to stop. “Red” is a safe word that is used a lot. It is easy to remember and it is not something that you might accidentally say.
Soft and Comfy
These Frisky cuffs are made from neoprene, so they are soft to the touch and are very nice and comfortable to wear. You can close them with velcro. There is a nice long strip, so it will fit everyone, whether you have small or big wrists.
The cuffs are tightened to the suction cups with a strap, so you still have some room for movement. I personally like this because I find it difficult to lie or stand still. Especially when there are lots of things being done to me, I really like it when I can move a little. That way you also have less chance of getting a cramp, stiffness or sleeping hands when you are standing in a bit of a strange position.
Train Adventure
The suction cups are pretty large and they work really well! I was surprised to see how they suck themselves stuck. I brought them to a party and on the way in the train I wanted to make a fun picture for my Instagram so I put a cuff around my wrist and stuck the suction cup to the window. There was no one else in the coupe and I had a couple of minutes to spare before we ended up at the next station.
Made a nice picture, great idea I thought. Until I could not get the suction cup loose. No matter how hard I pulled, that suction cup was not going anywhere.
I untied the velcro so I could pull it with both hands. Still nothing. I tried to get my nails under the suction cup, but that didn’t work either. There were two little things attached to the suction cup, so I thought I might have to pull those. However, my hands got a little sweaty, especially since I was approaching the next station, so I could not get a good grip. I took out my keychain hoping that I could get a key under the cup, but that was not working at all. I just decided to pull really hard.
I was afraid of the iron ripping through the cup, because I used a lot of power. Eventually with a combination of pulling and putting my nail under the little edge, it got loose exactly when we entered the next station. So don’t worry, you don’t have to worry about suction power!
Handy Quick-Release
So when I was testing them for real, my partner showed me how easy those little things on top of the suction cups were. If you don’t have sweaty hands, you can just grab one of those little things and even when you start pulling softly, the suction cup easily comes off. I really do not get how this works, but it does. Very handy….if those little things would have been a little bit bigger, it really would be easier to use though.
When you use the cuffs in the bathroom, bath or shower, then you easily get wet and with wet hands it is a lot more difficult to get a grip on to those little things. But on a wet surface you can, with the use of a little pressure, move the suction cup sideways and this way it will get unstuck as well.
Sexy Times in the Bathroom
Obviously, the suction cup only can only be used on a smooth surface, so bathroom tiles are perfect. Imagine what kind of exciting stuff you can do with all of this under the shower or in a bath. And I’ve done it all! Oh man, that really got me horny!
During all these sexy times, the cuffs with the suction cups would stay in place just fine. Only once in a while one of them got loose, but that is pretty normal for a suction cup I think. You get them back in place easily so it really was not annoying or disappointing. I could really start pulling the cuffs with a lot of strength and they would just stay in place. They would never get loose when pressure was being applied.
The suction cups can get stuck together very easily, the will suck themselves into place. This way you can use them as normal cuffs and for example, easily tie your hands behind your back.
I thought these cuffs were super fun! So many possibilities and they work very well and they get stuck into place perfectly. I actually know for sure that I will be using these cuffs a lot more, especially in the bathroom!
