A couple of months ago I tested two older models of the Satisfyer; the Satisfyer 2 and the Pro 2. But two different versions have come out since; the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation and the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation. Sally from Satisfyer sent me these two new models in exchange for my honest review.
But really. Who comes up with these names? It’s all so confusing. As a normal sex toy loving person you simply can’t keep up with which one is good and which one is not. The Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation actually almost looks the same as the Satisfyer Pro 2. And then there is also still the normal Satisfyer 2. This one I wouldn’t recommend, as it’s a really bad one. The Penguin also has an older version, but that one is pink. This way you can at least see the difference.
If you’re not familiar with the Satisfyer, this is a very different kind of toy. It does not vibrate but it works with air pressure. The nozzle goes around your clitoris, which is being sucked into a vacuum after which your clitoris is being stimulated with air pressure. It is difficult to imagine if you’ve never felt such a thing, but believe me, it feels really good. Womanizer was the first toy that used this technique. The Satisfyer has copied it afterwards. Until now, I always thought that the Satisfyers were much worse than the Womanizer, so I was wondering how I would like these Next Generation Satisfyers.
The packaging looks nice and clean. For shops it’s very convenient that you can see the print on one side in its length and on the other side in its width. “Next Generation” is also printed on the box but in every other way the packaging of the Pro 2 Next Generation looks a lot like the packaging from its predecessor. The cardboard is not very strong, so if you want to use it to store your toy in, it won’t keep looking nice for a long time. Unfortunately, it does not come with a storage container. You do find a user manual and a USB magnetic charger cable in there though.
The Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation (that name, seriously) really looks cute. It reminds me of a penguin or a tuxedo because of the bowtie. It is possible to remove that bowtie though. It is made out of silicone and ABS plastic, so it’s completely safe for your body. The round shapes are very nice to hold in your hands and the Penguin has two buttons: faster and slower. The “faster” button also functions as the power button. It’s really nice that you can turn this sex toy harder or softer, which, in my opinion, is really a must with air pressure toys. It can go too fast really quick and you would really like to have the possibility to turn it down immediately. The buttons are placed in the exact right spot, when you’re holding it, your thumb can easily rest on the buttons.
A super annoying thing about these buttons is that you cannot see which one functions as harder and which one functions as softer. I really needed the flashlight of my phone to see which one had the plus and which one had the minus sign on it. Once I could see something though, it appeared that these were not plus and minus symbols, the “harder” sign has 3 arcs and the “softer” has 2 arcs. Who comes up with that? … You have to keep in mind that the bottom button, or when you’re using it, the top button, means “harder”. I’m never good at remembering things when I’m masturbating, so I really like it when I cannot see the buttons but instead can feel which button does what. However, I can’t really feel the difference here when I’m busy.
With an older version of the Satisfyer Penguin, I still had the issue of the end part coming off when I was busy. This is something that’s super annoying. However, that’s not an issue with this Next Generation Penguin. The ending kept itself in its place. Soundwise, this Penguin is pretty silent. Especially with the lower settings, you practically cannot hear it, which is really nice.
But How Does it Actually Feel?
Well I have to say that I was not expecting much, but this Satisfyer Penguin Pro Next Generation really surprised me. It feels really good. The sensation the Penguin gives you is so nice and smooth but intense at the same time. The lower settings are really soft and I like this especially after I’ve had an orgasm. Because with this toy I can easily orgasm multiple times in a row. After I orgasm, I quickly put it back to its softest setting and just keep it on my clit. After a while I keep turning it up more and more and I start again. Really good!
The Penguin functions as it should. At each setting you really notice that it switches to a different setting (it has 10 settings) and it all feels really good. The highest setting is not super hard but I think it offers plenty of stimulation. I can orgasm really well with this sex toy and I really enjoy this a lot.
Quality
I’m still a fan of the Womanizer and it still feels more powerful for me. I have more faith in the Womanizer than in the Satisfyer anyway. I really cannot say how long a Satisfyer toy will last you. Earlier versions of the Satisfyer claimed to be waterproof but were not and stopped working after using them in water. Also with the Satisfyer that’s being powered by batteries and should be waterproof, water was seeping into the battery compartment. Because of these things I have little faith left when it comes to the quality of these toys. But now it might actually work, who knows? The price is a lot better than the Womanizer though. I did not test to see if these two toys were indeed waterproof as claimed.
Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation
The earlier version of this toy was pretty good, but the Next Generation is definitely better. This toy is made out of ABS plastic and the nozzle is made of silicone which is completely body safe. This Next Generation toy has three buttons. If you read my reviews regularly, you will know that three buttons really make me happy. A separate power button, a button for harder and a button for softer. Super handy! What I don’t like so much is the fact that the buttons are not being placed in a handy position. I always want to keep my fingers close to the buttons when I’m busy, because once in a while you want to turn it harder or softer, especially after you come. The buttons are placed all the way towards the bottom so now you also have to hold the toy in an awkward position. What a shame as the upper part is so nice to hold in your hands! There would be plenty of space for these buttons on this part as well and this way you could easily control them with your thumb, which would have been so much better! Ah well … bonus points for the three buttons, but minus points for the placement.
The volume of the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation is really good as well. It is not completely silent when on its highest setting, but pretty quiet nonetheless. Nothing wrong there. The nozzle is a little less sophisticated compared to the Penguin but it really fits on my clitoris. This Satisfyer also has 10 different settings.
Setting 1 and 2 are nice and soft, but a little less intense than the Penguin. From setting 3 and up it becomes serious business. This Satisfyer is more powerful and intense than the Penguin. Normally I love heavy stimulation, but this was not ideal for me. I do not have an oversensitive clit but I can imagine how it feels if you do have one.
I can orgasm very easily with the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation though, but I don’t want to do this more than once. My clit feels overstimulated after an orgasm like that.
This sextoy functions fine, but it is a little too intense for me. I really notice that the Penguin feels completely different. The Penguin is so much kinder on the clitoris. When I say “kinder”, I do not mean it is not powerful though. Maybe “gentle” would be a better word. The Pro 2 feels a little sharper. It’s difficult to explain, but I hope you understand what I am trying to describe.
Conclusion
If you think that the Womanizer is too expensive, then this Next Generation series from Satisfyer is a nice alternative. The Penguin is especially nice. This Next Generation series is definitely the best series of the Satisfyer so far as there have clearly been improvements. The names are getting worse though.
