My eyes quickly spotted The Duchess which is a very nice two-toned dildo. Of course, I especially liked the “Candy”, because it’s pink, but you can also get it in “Twilight” (purple). Tantus sent me one of them in exchange for my honest review.
Dildo-Vibrator
The Duchess is not just another silicone dildo. In fact, officially it’s a vibrator, as it comes with a Tantus bullet. The bottom of the dildo is hollow and ribbed so you can easily insert the bullet and it will stay in place this way. The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire dildo this way which basically turns it into a vibrator.
The Tantus bullet runs on button cell batteries. I really don’t like sex toys that operate on button cell batteries. You just expect the vibrations will be weak. However, I was really surprised when I started to feel the vibrations of this bullet, they are actually pretty good. Obviously, they are not the deepest or most powerful vibrations out there, but for such a small thing running on those silly batteries it is pretty impressive. I found that I could easily orgasm using this product.
You can also use the opening on the bottom to insert a suction cup. Tantus also sell special suction cups that fit in every dildo vibrator.
Dual Density
However, what is really special about the Duchess is that it, as they call it at Tantus, it is part of the 02 Dual Density line. Which means that the outer layer of the dildo is nice and soft to the touch while the inner part is nicely firm. This gives it a very special feeling, very different from normal dildos. If you squeeze it, it already feels really nice. The top of the dildo feels normal, I don’t think that part is dual density. The tip is quite large. I thought it looked nice and sexy and due to its unique shape, it is also suitable for G-spot stimulation.
Because this Tantus Duchess is made of silicone, you can not apply silicone based lubricant. Instead I suggest you choose a water based lubricant. My favorite is still JO Agapé.
You will need lube with this dildo as it is fairly large and the material by itself does not slide in easily. It inserts a lot better with lube.
Candy Love
During penetration, I could really notice how big the tip was, and after that I could really feel the dual density material. I had wondered if you would notice anything about this feature but you really do feel the difference. In my opinion, it’s a great addition.
As expected, the shape of the tip is very good for G-spot stimulation. The combination of the large tip and the nice material really did make me enjoy this dildo. Overall, I was very happy with this product.
The Duchess Candy sounds sweet, looks sweet and actually is really sweet! I obviously tried it with the Tantus bullet inserted and you feel the vibrations pretty well. I’m personally not a big fan of internal vibration. When using a dildo, I prefer to thrust and move. Most of the time, I can get a G-spot orgasm. I’ve also used the bullet as a clitoral vibrator while I used the Duchess as a normal dildo. This was also a great combination for me.
The Duchess is a nice dildo which honors its name. Special, sweet and of substantial size.
