Most dildos are made out of silicone. But there are obviously other materials which dildos are made out of. Unfortunately, a lot of these materials are not too good for the health of your vagina because either the material is toxic or because its porous. Porous material can absorb bodily fluids which are impossible to get rid of even when you clean it.
Then you also have the more abstract kind of materials for dildos. Glass, stainless steel, natural stone and in this case, also wood. Untreated wood will obviously not be suited as a sex toy. Imagine all those splinters. But these wooden dildos are treated with a special kind of non-toxic varnish. This layer is safe inside your body and also ensures that the wood is no longer porous. This layer is also colorless and scentless and is not able to absorb any kind of smell or bacteria. Super safe! You can use any kind of lubricant when it comes to the wooden dildos of NobEssence.
NobEssence’s packaging is very beautiful and fits the product in my opinion. The two-colored box with a very subtle NobEssence logo can be folded open and will then display the wooden piece of art. From the start it already looks very pretty and fancy. This is truly something special. In the box you will also find a small manual which looks beautiful as well. The box is sturdy so you can use it just fine as a storage box. This is not a toy that you just throw into the drawer of your nightstand.
The Intrigue has a very unique shape. It reminds me a bit of a duck. You can use this dildo on both sides, with both sides having a very unique kind of stimulation. The one side has curves and is meant for G-spot or P-spot stimulation. The other side is a lot bigger and is kind of egg-shaped. With the beautiful, natural wood print, circular and stripes, it really looks beautiful. The specially varnished layer gives the dildo a beautiful, soft shine. Because of this, the Intrigue feels super smooth. In the manual you will read that you need just a very tiny amount of lubricant. I believe it from the start, judging by how the dildo feels in my hands.
When I first started testing the dildo, I was a little worried about the tip. The wood is obviously hard and I was wondering if it would hurt or not. Careful, with a bit of lube, I inserted the dildo. It really slides in easy and it turned out I was worried for no reason at all. There was nothing painful about this. The curves even feel exceptionally well. The shape and material really gave me a totally different feeling from what I was used to. A very good feeling.
For my G-spot, the tip is a little bit small for me. I prefer a slightly bigger surface to stimulate my G-spot. But even still, this side of the dildo felt really good. Every different way of moving it will give you a completely different feeling…very special. Some sex toys really ask for being experimented with and so does this NobEssence Intrigue. I felt things in my pussy which I’ve never felt before. Super good and super fun. To stroke my vulva and clitoris with the tip felt really nice as well. It’s just so incredibly smooth!
The other side of the Intrigue is quite a bit bigger. The shape is a bit more basic, but because of the material, it feels a little different from normal. The dildo slides in super nice when thrusted and the shape, which gets a little bigger and bigger, feels good too.
Thrusting with this side is good and stimulating. I would not be able to orgasm from this but combined with my We-Vibe Tango it definitely worked and that was really a good orgasm.
This toy is really beautiful, luxurious and feels really good. And it’s versatile. The NobEssence dildos are no cheap dildos but in return you will have a handmade, safe, beautiful and super nice work of art.
