Laid is a brand I was already aware of because of their beautiful stone dildos. I had never tried one, but I was really curious. Especially because I really like glass and metal dildos. Because I knew that We-Vibe worked together with Laid, the We-Vibe Rave has the same model as the D.1 from Laid, I asked Seron from We-Vibe about this fun brand. It turns out that the company behind We-Vibe is also the company behind Laid and Seron was sweet enough to sent me the Laid D.1 in exchange for my honest review. Thanks We-Vibe and Laid as well!
Simple Packaging, Beautiful Content
The Laid D.1 comes in a simple cardboard box. Very simple, but because of that, it appeals to me. It comes in sturdy cardboard and the dildo is placed in sturdy foam, so you can easily store it in there.
The Laid D.1 is made from blue pearl-larvikite, also known as Norwegian moonstone. Sounds great as it is right? The stone itself is very attractive. It is mostly grey with many different shades, like 50 shades of grey (funny, I know), with a bit of black and a little bit of a blue shine to it. The most striking aspect is the opalescent parts. They shine so beautifully. According to the packaging, it’s about 300 million years old! Seriously, Wow! That’s very cool!
Warm Bath for Your Pussy
Polished stone is a safe material for sex toys and it feels really nice. Just like a glass or metal dildo, stone also takes on another temperature. By itself, the stone feels pretty cold, but when you put it in a hot bath for a while, it quickly warms up. Seriously, a warm dildo in your pussy feels really great! Like when you get into a nice warm bath, that amazing, completely relaxed feeling, but this time just for your pussy. I can not even type this without having a big smile on my face thinking about it.
Obviously, you can also make it extra cold. It will give you a completely different sensation. You need to be a fan of this though. From time to time, I really like it and find it exciting.
Asymmetric Dildo
The Laid D.1 has another special characteristic. It’s asymmetrical. Most dildos are symmetrical. I ask myself why after trying out this stone dildo but the a-symmetrical shape really adds something.
When the D.1 is inside your pussy and you slowly twist the handle (or hard if you like that), then you’ll feel all kinds of sensations which you do not feel with a normal, symmetrical dildo. It feels really good. Because of the twisting movement inside, your g-spot and inside in general is being stimulated very well. I really thought this was an amazing discovery! Normally, I only thrust when I’m using a dildo, but this really gave me the opportunity to use the dildo in a completely different way. It was so good!
Start Experimenting!
The D.1 reaches your G-spot perfectly. I really liked it to twist it and make up and down movements with the toy. The fun thing about this dildo is that it really invites you to experiment. I tried all kinds of movements to find out how it would feel and what would feel good. I found it was a really nice method of masturbating. A lot more extensive that just going up and down.
I can orgasm quite easily when my g-spot gets stimulated the right way and that was definitely the case with this dildo. I am starting to love dildos more and more while I first found them to be boring and I stuck to exclusively using vibrators. This dildo feels really special due to the material being so old and so beautiful. Also the a-symmetrical thing, I’m really a fan!
The combination of the Laid D.1 and a mini vibrator (I used the NU Sensuelle Point) is really super nice as well! Because of the double stimulation, I orgasmed super fast and really intensely.
Laid also has a different dildo model, the D.2 made out of black granite. It also looks beautiful and is shaped differently. It looks great to me. The D.1 is also available in silicone.Â
Conclusion
I thought this was a really nice dildo. More sex toys should be asymmetrical in my opinion. The stone really made me happy too, it is so beautiful and feels fantastic. Now I am really curious about other stone dildos.
