Ever since I was a little girl, I have been crazy about unicorns.
I was a serious fan of She-Ra, she was my childhood hero on her flying unicorn. My love for unicorns never really went away, so when I spotted the Tokidoki Unicorn wand vibrator, I immediately fell in love.
I was very happy, because Lovehoney was sweet enough to send me this amazing and beautiful sex toy in exchange for my honest review. Something I will do with love, as a combination of a unicorn and a sex toy, it doesn’t get any better!
The Tokidoki x Lovehoney Unicorn Wand is in a super happy box with the obvious Tokidoki print. The box is not super strong, but my other wand vibrators are being stored separately, without a bag or packaging, in contrast to all my other sex toys.
The Unicorn wand has a plug, so you always have that cable and you always need a plug in the wall (or extension cord) close by when you want to use it. I really don’t see it as a bad thing though, because it means it’s working at full power and this way you never have the issue of an empty battery that you have to charge or replace.
I was a little concerned that this sex toy, although it looks super nice, it might not function very well. This happens quite a lot, a toy that looks super cute, but that’s all there is to it. It can be pretty worthless, except for the fact that you have something fun to look at.
But, I’m happy to say that this is not the case with this Unicorn wand!
The wand functions absolutely fine! It’s not a Doxy, (but hey, that is just really the best wand vibrator out there, so no surprises there) but it is extremely good. For the experts: it can be compared to an original Fairy. And I really love my Fairy. But sorry Fairy, I don’t think I will ever use you again now that I’ve got this pretty unicorn. This really is true love.
The vibrations of this wand vibrator are really nice and deep and they go from soft to very intense. With the wheel you can decide for yourself how intense you want it, nice and easy to regulate, you don’t have to think about it too much. Just lie down and go!
I orgasm very easily with this wand; hard deep vibrations always work for me. I prefer to use it without the unicorn head. It really is super pretty, but because it’s made out of silicone, it tends to absorb some of the vibrations.
I tried using the horn or ears for pinpoint stimulation. The horn was quite alright, but it is pretty small, but the ears were not so good in my opinion. I also thought it was a bit of a strange idea, a unicorn horn against my clit, so I prefer to use it without the head.
However, it looks pretty on my nightstand standing there with the head!
The only disadvantage about this sex toy is the ribbing on the head. Dirt can easily accumulate there as well as lube and lots of other stuff. And when you are cleaning your wand, this does not readily disappear. You really need to use an old toothbrush on those little grooves, which sucks. I really do not understand why these grooves are actually on there, it does not add anything and is just annoying.
But apart from the unnecessary ribbing, I am very happy with the Unicorn wand. It looks super nice and works very well and is easy to use. It’s a keeper for me!
